OWEN FREEMAN

You’ve probably come across Owen Freeman’s work.  He spends most of his time illustrating for some of the country’s most popular publications.

He did this illustration last month to accompany Rolling Stone’s review of Eminem’s new album, Recovery.

Owen’s style is not like most illustrators.  There is a surreal quality to his work that makes his illustrations vivid and heavy with comic book-inspired drama.

This piece, which he did for the Boston Globe as part of a feature on Chang Rae-Lee’s Novel, “The Surrendered,” is a great example.
