JOSHUA PETKER

An LA native, Joshua Petker grew up as a graffiti artist.  As a college student, Petker’s interest in art and art history grew beyond graffiti.  His fascination took him all the way to Florence, Italy, to study abroad, and by the time he returned, he knew he would make art his career.

Petker’s graffiti influence can be seen all over his paintings, which often portray beautiful women dripping with rich, bold colors.

What fascinates us about Petker’s work is his use of these colors in injecting deep, complex emotion into his figures, making them at once fascinating and eerily attractive.  Here are a few more examples of Petker’s work.
