OFWGKTA / SPLATTER (RADICAL, 2010)

Going to Coachella this weekend?  Then you’ve gotta catch OFWFKTA (Odd Future Wolf Gang Kill Them All) Friday night on the Sahara stage.

The strangely-named OFWGKTA is a hip-hop collective led by rapper and producer Tyler the Creator.

OFWGKTA’s music is hard hitting and stark, filled with the bravado and rage of hungry young men.  The energy and tension in OFGKTA’s sound is overwhelming.  Listening to them reminds us of how we felt the first time we heard Eminem.

There are several groups within the collective - MellowHype, The Jet Age of Tomorrow and EarlWolf.  The groups perform together and individually on OFWGKTA’s recordings, which include four mix-tapes and eight studio albums (available on their Tumblr site for free).
